CASIO G-SHOCK COLLABORATION MODELS Formless Tai chi Series Design by Chen YingJie (HuaTuNan) MTG-B1000TJ-1AJR MADE IN JAPAN JDM
From G-SHOCK, the watch brand that is always finding ways to incorporate world culture icons into exciting new designs, comes a pair of new Formless Tai Chi models by Chen YingJie.
These new models were specially designed by Chen YingJie who is a Chinese artist who creates works that incorporate traditional Eastern ink painting and Western street art.
The two base MT-G and G-STEEL models were specially selected by Chen YingJie himself, based on their powerful metal designs.
The design theme for this model is the Chinese philosophy of Tai Chi.
The root of Tai Chi is the concept that all natural things and laws in the world change with the flow of time. This is expressed by the black ion-plating and original print technology applied in the designs of these models.
The back engraving of the MT-G model has a Tai Chi concept design, while the back cover G-STEEL model is engraved with the signature of Chen YingJie. These models come in packaging that has a unique design that identifies them as special models.
Special G-SHOCK models whose overall designs express the flow of time, change, and concept of the universe.
Chen YingJie was born in 1991 in Foshan, Guangdong, China. His works incorporate various materials that reflect the relationship between traditional Eastern ink painting and Western street art.
Recently, Complex magazine in the U.S. named him one of the “25 Contemporary Chinese Artists You Need to Know.”
